Our Craft and Philosophy
We manufacture and sell historically accurate spice blends inspired by ancient, medieval, and early cultural cuisines. Each blend is carefully researched, tested, and crafted using premier ingredients to honor the original flavor profiles of the time. Many ancient flavors have evolved or disappeared altogether. At Old Norse World Cuisine, we focus on preserving the generational, original, and often lost flavors that have shaped culinary history. To help bring these blends to life, we also provide recipes that demonstrate how they were traditionally used and how they can be enjoyed today.
Chef Rick's Journey
Chef Rick is an International/Cultural Chef specializing in historic flavor profiles. His work is rooted in extensive research into cultures, time periods, and the ingredients available throughout history. Through this research, he has recreated original dishes and developed new ones to preserve historic flavors for future generations. He is certified by the International World Association of Chef Societies and has authored several books on historical cuisines and cooking techniques, available through our store.
